  Chandigarh, October 9, 2026: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken suspended Punjab Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Harcharan Singh Bhullar into custody in connection with a money laundering investigation linked to a bribery case.
  
  Bhullar was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in October 2025 in a corruption case involving allegations of bribery. The ED subsequently initiated a money laundering probe.
  
  Further details are awaited.
