Hoshiarpur, June 14:
Former Member of Parliament Avinash Rai Khanna met former President of India Ram Nath Kovind and extended a formal invitation to attend the centenary celebrations and convocation ceremony of DAV Educational Institutions in Hoshiarpur.
During the meeting, Khanna apprised the former President about the rich legacy and contribution of DAV institutions in the field of education. He highlighted that DAV has emerged as one of the country's most prestigious educational networks, dedicated not only to imparting modern education but also to promoting Vedic traditions, ethical values, and character building among students.
Khanna emphasized that the guiding motto of DAV institutions, “Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya”—meaning “Lead us from darkness to light”—reflects their commitment to holistic education and moral excellence. He noted that DAV institutions are nationally renowned for their high academic standards, excellent infrastructure, and highly qualified faculty.
Inviting Kovind to grace the centenary celebrations and convocation ceremony, Khanna requested him to visit Hoshiarpur and share his valuable guidance with the management, faculty, and students of the institutions. He said the presence of the former President would be a matter of great pride and inspiration for the entire DAV fraternity.
Responding positively to the invitation, Ram Nath Kovind assured Khanna that he would make every possible effort to attend the event and be a part of the historic celebrations.
