With the aim of further promoting sports culture in the state and connecting youth with sports, the poster for "Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2026", being organized by the Punjab Government, was released today by Deputy Commissioner, Amit Kumar Panchal.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Davy Goyal, District Sports Officer Anindervir Kaur Brar, and officials of the Sports Department were also present.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner informed that "Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan-2026" will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Singh Mann, on September 05, 2026, at Bathinda. In these games, block-level games, district-level games, and state-level games will be conducted on different dates.
The Deputy Commissioner extended an invitation to the youth and players of the district to participate enthusiastically in these sports competitions.
The Deputy Commissioner said that sports, along with the physical and mental well-being of the youth, strengthen discipline, team spirit, and the spirit of positive competition. He said that this initiative of the Punjab Government is providing a suitable platform for young players to showcase their talent.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to ensure necessary arrangements for the convenience, security of the players, and in the sports grounds.
The District Sports Officer informed that registration for participating in the games can be done on the portal https://sports.punjab.gov.in/login.
Apart from this, players wishing to participate can also reach the concerned portal by scanning the QR code given on the publicity material/poster. She informed that necessary arrangements are being made by the department to conduct the sports competitions smoothly and successfully.
