Big News: Bikram Majithia’s wife and MLA Ganieve Kaur summoned

Chandigarh, August 18, 2025: Trouble appears to be mounting for the family of senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who is currently lodged in jail in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
The Punjab Vigilance Bureau has now officially summoned his wife and legislator, Ganieve Kaur Majithia, for questioning in the same case.
Bikram Singh Majithia was earlier arrested in connection with allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. The Vigilance Bureau, which is continuing its probe, has now extended its investigation to include his wife.
According to sources, the summons were issued recently, even during government holidays, reflecting the seriousness of the Vigilance Bureau’s action in this matter.
