CEO Haryana announces launch of pre-draft SIR activities across state from June 15

Chandigarh, June 14, 2026:
The Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, A. Sreenivas, IAS, today addressed a press conference at the State Headquarters and announced the commencement of Pre-Draft Special Intensive Revision (SIR) activities across Haryana from June 15, 2026.
Speaking to the media, A. Sreenivas emphasized that the Special Intensive Revision is a crucial exercise aimed at ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and inclusiveness of the electoral rolls. The pre-draft activities will involve extensive field-level verification and data collection to facilitate the preparation of error-free electoral rolls.
He informed that Booth Level Officers (BLOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), and other election officials have been directed to carry out the revision exercise meticulously. Special attention will be given to the inclusion of eligible new voters, deletion of duplicate entries, correction of electoral details, and updating of voter information.
The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to all eligible citizens of Haryana to actively cooperate with election officials during the revision process and ensure that their electoral details are accurate and up to date. He further stated that public participation is essential for maintaining the integrity of the electoral process and strengthening democratic institutions.
Sreenivas reiterated the Election Commission's commitment to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections by maintaining a comprehensive and error-free electoral database. Detailed schedules and guidelines regarding the revision activities will be disseminated through district election authorities and official communication channels.
Senior officers of the Election Department and representatives of the media were present during the press conference.
