Ashes of late Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda immersed in Satluj at Sri Kiratpur Sahib

Sri Kiratpur Sahib (Punjab), October 10, 2025: A day after the cremation of renowned Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda, his ashes were immersed in the sacred waters of the Satluj River near the historic Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib at Sri Kiratpur Sahib on Friday.
The solemn ceremony was attended by his family members, relatives, friends, and artists from the Punjabi music industry, who gathered to bid a final farewell to the beloved artist. Before the immersion, the family offered ardas (prayers) at the site.

In a deeply emotional moment, Rajvir Jawanda’s mother, wife, and other close family members held the urn close to their hearts before immersing the ashes into the holy waters of the Satluj.
Among those present were former MP Professor Prem Singh Chandumajra, SGPC member Bhai Amarjit Singh Chawla, Hakim Maninder Pal Singh Minas, DSP Ajay Singh, Bhupinder Singh Bajrur, and Kuldeep Singh, along with numerous admirers who came to pay their respects.
Rajvir Jawanda’s untimely demise has left a profound void in the Punjabi music fraternity and among fans across the world. His songs and soulful voice will continue to live in the hearts of millions.
