Zirakpur (Punjab), April 17, 2026: Dr. Prablin Kaur from Zirakpur has been making headlines on social media after she resigned from a private hospital just hours after joining, citing alleged unethical practices in patient care.
According to Dr. Kaur, she decided to quit on the very same day after witnessing what she described as exploitation and improper treatment practices within the hospital system.
She alleged that decisions regarding the duration of patient admissions and ICU stays were being influenced by non-medical considerations, which she found unacceptable. Following her resignation, she raised the issue publicly through social media.

Dr. Kaur, however, did not name any specific hospital or doctor, clarifying that her concern is not directed at an individual institution or the medical profession as a whole, but at certain practices that need systemic correction. She said her intention is to highlight issues in healthcare administration and push for reforms.
On Monday, Dr. Kaur appeared before the Human Rights Commission, where she was honoured for her stand. Commission member Shanti Anan praised her courage in bringing attention to the matter.
The Human Rights Commission said it is taking all complaints related to hospitals seriously and is actively examining such cases.
