Haryana Govt hikes DA and DR to 60 %

Chandigarh, April 28, 2026: The Haryana Government has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for state government employees and pensioners covered under the 7th Pay and Pension Commission framework.
As per the decision, DA and DR have been revised from 58 per cent to 60 per cent of basic pay and pension respectively. The revised rates will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2026, according to an order issued by the Finance Department.
In an official communication issued on Monday, Additional Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta stated that the enhanced DA and DR will be paid along with salaries and pensions for May 2026. The arrears for the period from January to April 2026 will be released in June 2026.
The order further clarified that in cases where the DA/DR amount includes fractions of 50 paise and above, it will be rounded off to the next higher rupee, while fractions below 50 paise will be ignored.
