Chandigarh, May 13, 2026 : Daily household expenses are set to rise slightly as Verka has announced a revision in milk prices across Punjab and the Tricity region, effective from the morning of May 14, 2026.
According to the official notification issued on May 13, the price hike will range between ₹1 and ₹2 per pouch across most popular milk variants, impacting consumers in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ludhiana and nearby areas including Ropar, Baddi and Shimla.
Under the revised rates, a 500 ml pouch of Full Cream milk will now cost ₹36 instead of ₹35, while the 1-litre pack will increase from ₹69 to ₹71. Prices of Toned and Double Toned milk (500 ml variants) will also see a ₹1 hike.
For larger packs, the 1.5-litre Full Cream milk will now cost ₹106, while the Standard variant will be priced at ₹96. However, 200 ml and 350 ml pouches will remain unchanged. Bulk 6-litre packs have also been kept at existing rates.

The milk cooperative said that while updated pricing will be applicable from tomorrow morning, some packets in circulation may still carry old printed MRP due to existing packaging stock. However, retailers have been instructed to charge customers as per the revised rates and display updated price lists prominently.
The revision is expected to slightly increase monthly grocery expenses for households, especially in urban areas where packaged milk is a daily staple.
