Ludhiana (Punjab), May 20, 2026 — AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal expressed strong confidence in the party’s performance in the upcoming elections during his two-day visit to Punjab, stating that the Aam Aadmi Party is witnessing positive public sentiment in the state.
Addressing party meetings in Ludhiana, Kejriwal said the visit is focused on discussions with Punjab leadership regarding election preparations. He asserted that the party is optimistic about surpassing its previous electoral performance.
“I am on a two-day visit to Punjab to hold a series of meetings with the leadership regarding elections. I am confident that the Aam Aadmi Party will break its own record in the upcoming elections,” Kejriwal said.
He further claimed that the party is benefiting from “pro-incumbency” in Punjab, adding that public opinion remains favorable toward the current state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
“There is a sense of positivity towards the AAP government in Punjab. There is pro-incumbency towards our government, not anti-incumbency,” he said, highlighting welfare measures such as free electricity, ₹10 lakh insurance coverage, and development of playgrounds.
Kejriwal also criticized the opposition, alleging that it lacks a constructive agenda. “The opposition has no agenda except verbally abusing Mann sahib,” he remarked, expressing confidence that the party would perform strongly in the coming elections.
