Punjab Horror: Woman stabbed to death by colleague inside Mohali office

Mohali (Punjab), June 5, 2026: A shocking murder inside a private office in Mohali has sent shockwaves across Punjab after a 29-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her colleague, who later attempted to take his own life.
The victim, identified as Dimple, a resident of Patiala, was working at a private firm near Bestech Mall in Sector 66, Mohali, when the attack took place.
According to police, the accused, Harvinder Mann alias Harry, allegedly attacked Dimple with a knife while she was sitting at her computer.
Speaking to the media, DSP Harsimran Singh Bal said the accused stabbed the victim approximately 25 to 30 times before inflicting injuries on himself with the same weapon.
“Harjinder Singh Mann stabbed Dimple 25–30 times while she was working on the computer. He also inflicted self-injuries and is currently unconscious. An FIR has been registered under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the investigation is underway,” the officer said.
The brutal attack was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the office. Both the victim and the accused were rushed to a hospital in Mohali, where Dimple succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Harvinder Mann remains in critical condition and is undergoing medical treatment.
Police recovered the knife allegedly used in the crime, while forensic experts collected evidence from the scene. Investigators are examining all angles, including the possible motive behind the attack.
Officials from Phase-11 Police Station have registered a murder case and launched a detailed investigation. Further details are expected as the probe progresses.
