Railway holds Cycle Rally under Fit India Mission to promote 'Sunday On Cycle' culture

Ferozepur, June 7, 2026: As part of the Fit India Mission, Ferozepur Division organized a special cycling rally on June 7, 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from railway officers, employees, and their family members.
Senior Divisional Commercial/Freight Manager Paramdeep Singh Saini, Divisional Mechanical Engineer Acharaj Gupta, Sports Secretary Sunil Kat, along with several officers and staff members of the division, actively participated in the rally. The cycling rally commenced from the Divisional Office and proceeded up to Jhok Road.
The primary objective of the rally was to promote the message of “Sunday on Cycle” among the masses and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Participants cycled through the refreshing morning atmosphere while spreading the message of “Healthy Body, Healthy India.” The event also reaffirmed the commitment to take the Fit India Mission to every section of society.
Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar emphasized the importance of the Fit India Mission and encouraged people to adopt cycling as a regular habit. He stated that cycling not only helps maintain good health but also contributes significantly to environmental protection by reducing pollution.
The rally served as an inspiring initiative to promote fitness, well-being, and environmental consciousness among railway employees and the public at large.
