Two CGC Landran graduates selected for Indian Navy

Chandigarh, June 16, 2026: Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran has added another feather in its cap with two of its alumni securing entry into the Indian Navy. While Sub Lieutenant Bishvender Singh (B.Tech ECE, Batch 2019-2023) has been commissioned into the Indian Navy through the CDS (INA Entry) and is currently undergoing training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala; Sahil Singh Chikara (B.Tech CSE, Batch 2020-2024), has been recommended and merit-listed for the Indian Navy (GSX) through the Naval Selection Board, Visakhapatnam and has been selected to join the Indian Naval Academy for officer training.

Both alumni were active NCC cadets during their time at CGC Landran and participated in various camps and institutional activities that contributed to their development in discipline, leadership and team spirit.
Their selections reflect the rigorous national-level selection process for entry into the Indian Armed Forces and the continued emphasis on holistic student development at the institution.
