Patriotic Performances Mark Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebrations at DCM Group of Schools
Ferozepur, July 26, 2026: DCM Group of Schools commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with patriotic fervour by organising special programmes across its institutions to honour the courage, valour and supreme sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces. Students paid heartfelt tributes to the Kargil martyrs through speeches, patriotic songs, poems, dances and other cultural presentations, reaffirming their commitment to serve the nation.
Anuradha Chandel, Principal of DCM International School, said a special morning assembly was organised to mark the occasion. Students enthusiastically participated in speech competitions, poetry recitations, patriotic songs, dances, thought-sharing sessions and word presentations highlighting the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. Addressing the students, she elaborated on the history of the Kargil War, the extraordinary bravery of Indian soldiers and the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs in safeguarding the nation's sovereignty. A documentary based on the Kargil War was also screened, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the soldiers and their unwavering dedication to the country.
Yachna Chawla, Principal of DC Model Senior Secondary School, said students were sensitised to the importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas during a special prayer assembly. Students presented colourful cultural programmes and patriotic performances, paying tribute to the unmatched courage and selfless service of the Indian Army. She said such events play an important role in instilling patriotism, discipline and a sense of national responsibility among young minds.
The programme concluded with students and teachers observing a two-minute silence in memory of the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the Kargil War. They also pledged to remain committed to preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
