Himachal Pradesh Assembly’s monsoon session to begin on August 21
Ten sittings to be held till September 3; August 27 designated as Private Members’ Day

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), August 1, 2026: The monsoon session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will begin on August 21 and continue until September 3, Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania announced on Saturday.
The 12th session of the 14th Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will commence at 11 am on August 21, with a total of 10 sittings scheduled during the session.
Pathania said the Assembly Secretariat issued the notification for the session following the Governor’s recommendation.
The House will also sit on Saturday, August 22. However, no sittings will be held on August 28, 29 and 30. The Assembly will remain closed on August 28 on account of Raksha Bandhan, while August 29 falls on a Saturday.
The Speaker said August 27 had been designated as Private Members’ Day.
Following the issuance of the session notification, all MLAs can submit questions, notices and proposals related to their constituencies to the Assembly Secretariat through both offline and online modes.
