  Chandigarh, August 13, 2026: Punjab Government has demanded Rs. 1.44 crore royalty from Rajasthan of river waters.
  
  Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal said that we have calculated royalty was per applicable rates and have twice written to Rajasthan but till date Rajasthan has not responded to demand of Punjab. He said that if Rajasthan fails to give royalty we will take legal action as per norms.
