Raja Warring takes U-turn in Sukhbir Badal attack case, deletes earlier post

Chandigarh, August 14, 2026:Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has deleted his earlier social media post regarding the attack on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal and issued a fresh post wishing him a speedy recovery.
Warring’s earlier post had drawn sharp criticism and questions from the Shiromani Akali Dal following the attack on Sukhbir Badal. The development subsequently triggered a political controversy between the Congress and the Akali Dal.
Following the objections raised by the Akali Dal, Warring removed his earlier post and shared a new message on social media. In his fresh post, the Punjab Congress chief wished Sukhbir Badal a speedy recovery.
The deletion of the earlier post and its replacement with a new message has been viewed in political circles as a U-turn by Warring following the backlash from the Akali Dal.
