NSS Units of SBS State University Organise ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign
Ferozepur, August 15, 2026: The NSS Units of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University, Ferozepur, organised the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign during Independence Day week with enthusiastic participation from students and NSS volunteers.
Around 200 students from different NSS units of the university actively participated in the campaign, showcasing their patriotic spirit and commitment to the national initiative. The campaign, coordinated by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, encourages citizens, particularly youth, to proudly display the National Flag at their homes, workplaces and institutions.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh Kumar Sharma, who graced the occasion, said the campaign provided an opportunity to express love and respect for the nation while strengthening the spirit of national unity and patriotism. He said institutions of higher learning have a greater responsibility to uphold constitutional values and contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.
University Registrar Prof. Rajiv Arora also addressed the gathering and emphasised that the campaign inspires citizens to display the Tricolour with pride and honour. He said it promotes patriotism, national pride and active participation among students.
The university authorities appreciated the efforts of Dr. Kamal Khanna, NSS Programme Coordinator, Jasvir Chand Grover, Programme Officer NSS Unit-I, Rahul Chopra, Programme Officer NSS Unit-II, and Yashpal, Programme Officer NSS Poly Wing, for taking the initiative to foster a sense of unity, responsibility and pride in the nation.
