Breaking: Four family members found dead in home, 2-month-old baby among victims

Mumbai (Maharashtra), August 16, 2026: A tragic incident has come to light in the high-security Navy Nagar area of Mumbai, where four members of a family, including a two-month-old baby, were found dead inside their home.
The deceased are reportedly an Indian Navy sailor, his wife and their two young children. One of the children was just two months old, while the other was three years old.
According to the initial police investigation, the naval personnel is suspected of having poisoned his wife and two children before allegedly dying by suicide by hanging.
After receiving information about the incident, local police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody. They were subsequently sent for postmortem examination.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths and are trying to establish what led to the suspected poisoning and suicide. The possibility of family-related or other personal stress is also being examined as part of the investigation.
