Commuters suffer as Bandh supporters close roads in different parts of the state

Chandigarh, August 21, 2026: As the day progressed with ‘Punjab Bandh’ call, supporters of the Bandh have blocked many road in the state leading to harassment of commuters.
Rajpura-Patiala road has been blocked, similarly in Jalalabad many road have been blocked, National Highway has been blocked in Mohali leading to a long queue of cars and other transport vehicles, YPS Chowk in Mohali has also been blocked.
These bandh supporters are using tractor trolleys to stop traffic. Though Ambulances have been exempted from bandh but given the situation it is likely that they will also face problems in plying.
