  Chandigarh, September 9, 2026: A local Chandigarh Court has banned issuing statements or posting on social media on uncertified bases by Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, Congress leader Sukhpal Khaira and Justice (retd.) Ranjit Singh against Dr. Gurpreet Kaur wife of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
  
  Dr. Gurpreet Kaur had approached court for imposing of such a ban. Next hearing in the matter has been fixed for September 30, 2026.
