Rs 2,100 Monthly Aid: Haryana expands Lado Lakshmi Scheme to more women

Chandigarh, September 20, 2026: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday said women from families with an annual income of up to ₹1.80 lakh will now be eligible for ₹2,100 monthly assistance under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana, with the expanded benefit expected to begin from November.
The income eligibility limit was earlier ₹1 lakh. The Haryana government launched the second phase of the scheme on September 17, extending its coverage to an estimated 17 lakh additional women.
Speaking at Jan Samvad programmes in the Ladwa Assembly constituency, Saini said the government had fulfilled its commitment to provide ₹2,100 per month to eligible women. He said the registration portal for the newly eligible beneficiaries had been opened and payments would begin from November 1.
According to the state government, more than ₹2,000 crore has already been transferred directly into the bank accounts of women beneficiaries under the scheme. An earlier government release said over 10 lakh women were receiving the benefit before the expansion.
The scheme provides ₹2,100 per month to eligible women aged 23 years and above. The expanded eligibility covers families with verified annual income of up to ₹1.80 lakh.
CM Announces ₹1.12 Crore for Four Villages
During his programmes in Ladwa, Saini also announced development works worth ₹1.12 crore for Kalirano, Sultanpur, Sonti and Bir Sonti villages.
He announced ₹21 lakh for development works in Kalirano along with ₹2 lakh for library books. Sultanpur was allocated ₹21 lakh for development and ₹5 lakh for the local gurdwara.
The Chief Minister announced ₹21 lakh each for development works in Sonti and Bir Sonti, along with ₹21 lakh for the gurdwara in the villages.
Former Minister of State Subhash Sudha and Chief Minister’s OSD Mahendra Saini were among those present.
Saini Claims 2 Lakh Government Jobs in 12 Years
Saini also said the Haryana government had provided government jobs to 2 lakh young people over the past 12 years, which he claimed were given on merit without the practice of “kharchi-parchi”.
He contrasted the recruitment process with that of the previous government, alleging that candidates earlier needed money or recommendations to secure government jobs.
He said the present system allows candidates from economically weaker families to secure government positions, from Group-D posts to Haryana Civil Service, on the basis of merit.
Claims 70 of 217 Poll Promises Fulfilled
The Chief Minister said the state government had made 217 commitments before the elections and had so far fulfilled 70 of them, while work on the remaining commitments was underway.
He also highlighted the government’s road infrastructure projects and said roads had been developed to connect different parts of Haryana with national highways and other major roads.
Saini Highlights Procurement of 24 Crops at MSP
On agriculture, Saini said Haryana was the first state in the country to procure all 24 crops grown by farmers at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
He accused Congress leaders of spreading misinformation among farmers regarding MSP and said the government had addressed the problem of farmers being forced to dispose of crops at low prices through the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana.
Under the scheme, the government provides compensation when farmers receive a price below the applicable benchmark in the mandis, according to the Chief Minister.
Saini further claimed that the previous Congress government had provided ₹137 crore in compensation for crop losses during its tenure, while the present government had provided ₹16,500 crore.
These figures and political claims were made by the Chief Minister during the Jan Samvad programmes and have been presented as claims of the state government.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena and several local elected representatives and officials were also present at the programmes.
