Chandigarh, September 25, 2026: A Chandigarh court has delivered a significant order in a defamation case filed by Punjab Chief Minister’s wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, by lifting the interim restraint order issued against former Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Justice (Retd.) Ranjit Singh.

Civil Judge (Junior Division), Chandigarh, Dr. Parikshit, while allowing an application filed by Justice Ranjit Singh, set aside the ex parte order dated September 8, through which he had been restrained from allegedly publishing or making statements containing defamatory material against Dr. Gurpreet Kaur through social media or any other medium.
