Haryana farmers can get up to Rs 1.40 lakh per acre subsidy for horticulture; Details Inside

Chandigarh, September 28, 2026: Farmers in Haryana can avail themselves of subsidies of up to ₹1.40 lakh per acre for establishing new fruit orchards under a state government scheme aimed at promoting horticulture and increasing farm incomes.
Under the Subsidy Provision for Cultivation of Horticultural Crops scheme, financial assistance is available for fruit orchards, vegetables, flowers, spices and aromatic plants.
For new fruit orchards, the subsidy ranges from ₹24,500 to ₹1.40 lakh per acre, with benefits available for up to five acres.
For vegetable cultivation, general-category farmers can receive ₹15,000 per acre, while Scheduled Caste farmers can receive ₹25,500 per acre. The benefit is available for up to five acres for general-category farmers and one acre for Scheduled Caste farmers. The subsidy applies to integrated cultivation models using practices such as mulching, low tunnels, drip irrigation or bamboo staking.
Farmers cultivating spices can receive ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 per acre, while flower cultivation attracts subsidies ranging from ₹8,000 to ₹40,000 per acre. A subsidy of ₹8,000 per acre is available for aromatic plants. The benefit for these crops is available for up to five acres.
The Haryana Horticulture Department said the subsidy will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries.
How Farmers Can Apply
Registration on the Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal and Hortnet is mandatory to avail the scheme. Applicants are required to provide their personal details, Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), bank account and IFSC details, along with a Scheduled Caste certificate wherever applicable.
