Chandigarh, October 7, 2026: Speculation over the alleged resignation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson Baltej Singh Pannu has been circulating since Tuesday night, triggering considerable interest within political and media circles.
The rumours have also prompted journalists based in Canada and the United States to contact Babushahi Network seeking confirmation on whether Pannu has stepped down from his party responsibilities.
Babushahi Network checked the matter and found no basis for the claim that Baltej Pannu has resigned.
When contacted for a clarification, Pannu talking to Babushahi categorically dismissed the speculation and made it clear that he continues to remain associated with the Aam Aadmi Party.
Responding to the question about his alleged resignation, Pannu said:
“We are on a mission, not on commission.”
Pannu further said that he remains firmly committed to the Aam Aadmi Party as a dedicated party worker and that there was no question of him becoming weak or withdrawing from his responsibilities.
The latest speculation comes at a time when Pannu has remained publicly active as one of AAP Punjab’s prominent spokespersons. He was seen making public statements on behalf of the party as recently as October 6, including his response to the CBI action involving the Punjab Chief Minister’s Camp Office.
Pannu was appointed AAP Punjab Media In-charge in November 2025, after serving as General Secretary of the Punjab unit. Babushahi.com
