Chandigarh, October 16, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday hit back at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, asking him to consult his advisers before making statements against him and raising questions over drug seizures at Gujarat’s Kandla Port.
In a post on X, Mann said the Border Security Force (BSF) has jurisdiction over a 50-km belt along the border and claimed that around 3,000 kg of heroin was being seized at Kandla Port in Gujarat.
“Before blaming Bhagwant Mann, take responsibility for your own duties,” the Chief Minister said, accusing Shah of copying and pasting posts allegedly drafted by his supporters without proper consideration.
Mann’s remarks came amid the political exchange over Shah’s comments on drug trafficking in Punjab and the murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa.
