MP Harsimrat Badal writes to Amit Shah, seeks CBI Probe into Jhota Murder Case

Chandigarh, October 19, 2026: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the murder of Parminder Singh Jhota.
In her letter, Badal alleged that the victim’s family was not satisfied with the ongoing investigation by the Punjab Police. She called for an independent investigation by the central agency to ensure fairness and establish the truth in the case.
The MP urged the Union Home Minister to intervene and facilitate a CBI investigation into the case.
