Panchkula (Haryana), October 28, 2026: The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has expedited preparations for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) Stage-II examination for recruitment to approximately 14,000 posts, while an advertisement for around 8,000 additional vacancies is expected to be issued soon, HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh said on Wednesday.
Singh said the Commission was proceeding with recruitment and examination activities in a structured and transparent manner, in accordance with the prescribed rules.
As part of the preparations for CET Stage-II, inspections of examination centres have begun on the chairman’s directions. On Wednesday, HSSC member Subhash Chandra and his team visited examination centres in the Kalka-Pinjore area of Panchkula district to assess available facilities and review arrangements for conducting the examination.
Singh said the inspections were intended to ensure that candidates would not face inconvenience during the examination. Examination centres in Panchkula and other districts will also be inspected shortly, he added.
A committee will prepare a report following the inspections, based on which the Commission will take necessary steps to advance the examination process and ensure that essential arrangements are in place before the test.
The HSSC chairman urged candidates to prepare seriously for the upcoming examination and keep track of official recruitment announcements. He also cautioned them against paying heed to rumours, adding that updates on recruitment and examinations would be shared through the Commission’s official channels.
