Breaking: Three IAS/IFS officers get additional charges

Chandigarh, October 30, 2026: The Punjab Government has ordered changes in the responsibilities of three senior IAS and IFS officers, assigning them additional charges with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel on October 30, Chief Secretary K.A.P. Sinha announced the following changes:
Raji Pramod Shrivastava (IAS, 1992), who is serving as Special Chief Secretary, Freedom Fighters, and holding additional charge of Special Chief Secretary, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, has also been assigned the additional charge of Special Chief Secretary, Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training.
Gurpreet Singh Khaira (IAS, 2009), Secretary, Justice Department, has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department.
Kalpana K. (IFS, 2014), Additional Secretary, School Education Department and Project Director of the World Bank Project, School Education, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), SAS Nagar.
With this appointment, Sakatar Singh Bal, PCS, has been relieved of the additional charge of Secretary, PSEB.
The orders have been issued on administrative grounds and will come into force with immediate effect.
