Rana Sodhi thanks Railway Minister for approval of two new trains for Muktsar passengers
Ferozepur, October 30, 2026: BJP leader Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi has thanked Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the approval of two new trains connecting Fazilka with Haridwar and Delhi via Sri Muktsar Sahib, describing the decision as a major relief for railway passengers of the area.
The approval follows an initiative taken by Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi and Rajesh Gora Pathela, who had taken up the demand for better rail connectivity with the concerned authorities. The development has brought cheer among passengers in Sri Muktsar Sahib and adjoining areas, who are expected to benefit from improved rail travel options.
The two proposed train services are expected to provide greater convenience to passengers travelling towards Haridwar and Delhi for religious visits, business, employment and other important purposes. Direct and improved rail connectivity is also likely to save travel time and reduce dependence on buses and other modes of transport.
Rana Sodhi and Rajesh Gora Pathela had taken up the demand keeping in view the long-standing need of local residents for better rail connectivity. The approval of the services has been welcomed as an important step towards addressing the travel requirements of people in Sri Muktsar Sahib and surrounding areas.
