Breaking: Family of Parvinder Jhota agrees for post mortem and cremation on November 6

Mansa, November 5, 2026: Family of slain anti drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota has agreed for post mortem and cremation of his body after meeting high level government panel including Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian. As per agreement reached, his post mortem will be carried out by doctors from PGI Chandigarh and CBI was making preparations for it and after that cremation will be done on November 6, 2026.
Government also agreed to pay a compensation of Rs. 2 crore to the family and his wife will be provided a government job. Apart from this Rs. 5 lakh each will be paid to those injured in firing on the fateful day.
