Homes were filled with joy and festive cheer as sisters lovingly tied colourful Rakhis around their brothers’ wrists and prayed for their long lives, good health and a bright and prosperous future.
Brothers, in turn, reaffirmed their firm resolve to stand by their sisters through every joy and challenge, while always safeguarding their dignity, well-being and honour. The occasion was marked by the exchange of sweets, gifts and warm Rakhi greetings among family members.
Rakhi is much more than a traditional ritual; it conveys a message of love, trust, respect and mutual affection, strengthening the cherished bond between brothers and sisters. The auspicious festival also reinforces the importance of strong family relationships while promoting a spirit of love, harmony and goodwill in society.
