34 teams from across India compete in Flag Bowl Championship at LTSU

Nawanshahr (Punjab), October 3, 2026: The four-day SNAP & SPRINT Flag Bowl Inter-Club Flag Football Championship 2026 began at Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab (LTSU) on Saturday, with 34 teams from across India competing in the men’s and women’s categories.
The tournament features 20 men’s and 14 women’s teams, providing a national platform for emerging Flag Football players to showcase their skills.
Prof. B. S. Satyal, Pro Vice Chancellor, LTSU, inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest. He wished the participating teams success and urged the players to compete with discipline, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship.
The event is being organised under the guidance of Nirmal Singh Rayat, Chancellor, LTSU, with the support of Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Jetly, Dean, Physical Education and Director, University Sports.
The inauguration was attended by Vinayak Gupta, CA, Mohali-Chandigarh; Vimal Manhotra, CEO; Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dean; and Deepesh Solanki, CEO, American Flag Football India (AFFI) as Guests of Honour.
Also present were Lokendra Singh, Secretary, AFFI; Balpreet Singh, Secretary, American Football Association, Chandigarh; Sukhjinder Singh, Member, AFFI; and Himanshu, Technical Director, AFFI.
The four-day event will feature teams competing in speed, agility, tactical play and coordination, with the participation reflecting the growing interest in Flag Football across India.
Organisers said the tournament aims to provide competitive exposure to players while promoting fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship among young athletes.
