Chandigarh, October 10, 2026: Rashpal Singh Sekha, a Punjabi athlete competing in Masters Athletics in Britain, has demonstrated his sporting ability across different age groups, earning recognition in international and national-level competitions.
His achievements include a sixth-place finish in the men’s M70 long jump at the 2022 World Masters Athletics Championships in Tampere, Finland, a gold medal in the same event at the 2023 British Masters Athletics Federation (BMAF) Track and Field Championships in Derby, and a silver medal in the men’s M60 60-metre hurdles at the 2016 BMAF Indoor Championships.
At the World Masters Athletics Championships in Finland in 2022, Sekha recorded a jump of 4.18 metres to finish sixth in the men’s M70 category. The result marked an important milestone in his international Masters Athletics career, placing him among competitors from different countries.
He followed it with a gold-medal performance at the 2023 BMAF Track and Field Championships in Derby, where he won the men’s M70 long jump with an effort of 4.19 metres.
