IAS officer Jitender Yadav gets Additional Charge under Central Staffing Scheme

Chandigarh, October 19, 2026: The Central Government has approved the appointment of IAS officer Jitender Yadav (AGMUT:2010) as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR), Lakshadweep, on an additional-charge basis under the Central Staffing Scheme.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on October 11, 2026, Yadav’s appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge. The assignment will be for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The department has directed that Yadav be instructed to take up the new assignment and that the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, be informed accordingly.
