WhatsApp Web Down! Users report login issues; Details Inside

New Delhi, September 8, 2025: Popular messaging platform WhatsApp faced a disruption in its web service on Monday, leaving a large number of users unable to log in. Social media was flooded with complaints from users who reported repeated failures while trying to access WhatsApp Web. However, the mobile app continues to function normally without any issues.
According to outage-tracking website Downdetector, the problem began around 1:35 PM (IST), after which user complaints surged sharply.
Reported Issues:
- QR Code Login Failure – Several users complained that even after scanning the QR code, the login process on their computers was not successful.
- New Login Problems – The issue mainly affected users attempting new logins on WhatsApp Web. Those already logged in on their browsers faced no major trouble in sending or receiving messages.
The disruption appears to be limited to WhatsApp’s web version. The mobile app is working smoothly, allowing users to chat, share photos and videos, and make calls without interruption.
