Chandigarh, July 9, 2021:SAD president announced major decisions in the form for poll promises on his birthday today ( July 09, 2021)
At the time when farmers' agitation against the three farm bills remains the burning issue in the political circles, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal announced several promises to the agitation farmers if the SAD-BSP alliance emerges victorious in 2022 Assembly Elections.
In a video message posted on his official Twitter handle, Sukhbir Badal said that for the past seven months, farmers from Punjab are holding a dharna at Delhi borders against the three farm laws of the Central government.
“They are fighting for their rights amid the extreme weather. So many woman farmers are also agitating at Delhi borders. Many have lost their lives during this agitation. As per the information, over 500 farmers have been martyred during this ongoing agitation,” said Badal expressing concern over the condition of agitating farmers.
Sukhbir said that if Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD)-BSP alliance comes in power in 2022, the first thing that the party will do is honor the martyr of Kisan Andolan (farmers protest).
“If the SAD-BSP comes into power in 2022, we will honor the martyrs of #KisanAndolan with one government job per family, free education to their children & grandchildren till post-graduation,” he promised.
SAD leaders their government will also provide health insurance cover to the entire family to the martyr farmer.
