Amritsar (Punjab), July 19, 2026: Union Minister Chirag Paswan on Sunday visited the historic Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar and paid homage to the martyrs who lost their lives in the 1919 massacre.
Speaking during his visit, Paswan said every Indian should visit Jallianwala Bagh to understand the immense sacrifices made by freedom fighters for the country's independence.
"Every Indian should visit this place. When we get caught up in small disputes, religious divisions and unnecessary conflicts, we must remember those who sacrificed everything for future generations. We must value their sacrifices," the Union Minister said.
Paswan said the memorial serves as a reminder of the courage and patriotism displayed by countless Indians who laid down their lives for the nation's freedom.
