Sri Akal Takht Sahib clarifies Punjab Govt submitted response, not revised Anti-Sacrilege Law Draft

Amritsar (Punjab), July 29, 2026 Sri Akal Takht Sahib on Wednesday clarified that the Punjab government did not submit any revised draft of the proposed anti-sacrilege law at its Secretariat.
Instead, the Punjab government submitted its response to the directions issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib on June 29 and the subsequent written communication sent on July 4.
The clarification was issued after reports stated that the Punjab government had submitted a revised draft of the anti-sacrilege legislation to Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
