‘Hamare Ram’ Staged in Ferozepur; MLAs Ranbir Singh Bhullar and Rajneesh Dahiya attend grand performance, applaud cultural initiative
Ferozepur, August 30, 2026: The acclaimed theatrical production ‘Hamare Ram’ was staged in two shows at the auditorium of Genesis Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Ferozepur, on Saturday with the support of the Punjab Government.
Prominent actors Ashutosh Rana and Rahul R. Bhuchar performed in key roles along with a 150-member Felicity troupe, presenting a grand theatrical depiction of the life, teachings and ideals of Lord Shri Ram.
Ferozepur Urban MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar and Ferozepur Rural MLA Rajneesh Dahiya joined the audience during the enthusiastic presentation of the popular play, which beautifully brought alive the timeless teachings and ideals of Lord Shri Ram.
MLAs said the initiative aims to take the eternal teachings of Lord Shri Ram to the people, strengthen the values of Sanatan Dharma and spread the message of truth, justice, compassion and unity through the powerful medium of theatre. They said the Punjab Government is also committed to promoting the state's rich cultural heritage and traditional values through such initiatives.
They further informed that, as part of a state-level cultural initiative, the Punjab Government will organise 41 free performances in 12 cities during August and September. The inaugural performance was held in Mohali, while shows are also being organised in cities including Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Ludhiana, Sangrur and Khanna.
The performances have been kept free of cost so that people from all sections of society can learn about and draw inspiration from the life and ideals of Lord Shri Ram.
Emphasising the larger purpose of the programme, the organisers said the initiative seeks to inspire the younger generation by promoting India's spiritual, cultural and moral heritage while also showcasing excellence in world-class theatre.
“The government is making every possible effort to ensure that such programmes bring the teachings of Sanatan Dharma closer to the people and inspire the younger generation to adopt these timeless values,” they said.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Krishna Pal Rajput and SDM Ferozepur Abhishek Kumar were also present on the occasion.
