Kho-Kho competitions held at SBS State University under “Annual Intra-Year University Sports Competition 2026”
Ferozepur, September 7, 2026: Kho-Kho competitions were organised at Shaheed Bhagat Singh State University (SBSSU), Ferozepur, on Monday as part of the ongoing “Annual Intra-Year University Sports Competition 2026”. The event was organised with the objective of promoting the overall development of students and encouraging sportsmanship among them.
The competitions were held under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr Suresh Kumar Sharma and supervision of Dean Sports Dr Arun Kumar Asati. Both boys and girls participated enthusiastically in the Kho-Kho competitions and displayed remarkable sporting spirit and competitive enthusiasm.
Dean Sports Dr Arun Kumar Asati specially attended the event and encouraged the participating students. He motivated the players to perform their best and excel in sports.
The successful conduct of the annual sports competitions has been supported by Sports In-charge (Girls) Navdeep Kaur Jhajj, who has been overseeing preparations and arrangements for the events with dedication and meticulous attention to detail. Her hard work, commitment and leadership have contributed significantly to the disciplined and smooth conduct of the competitions.
Sports In-charge (Degree – Boys) Talwinder Singh and Sports In-charge (Poly Wing) Rajesh Singla have also been extending their full cooperation and contributing actively towards the successful organisation of the sports events.
For the smooth conduct of the Kho-Kho competitions, Anjana from the BCA Department performed her duties as referee with dedication. Sukhbir Kaur from the BCA Department, Pallavi from the CSE Department and Karj Singh from the Diploma Wing also extended their support in making the event successful.
The results of the Kho-Kho competitions held on September 7 were as follows:
Girls’ Category: The team led by Captain Harman of the BCA Department emerged victorious after putting up an impressive performance.
Boys’ Category: The team led by Captain Ramandeep Singh Dhaliwal, B.Tech (EE), secured the winning position with an excellent performance.
Vice Chancellor Dr Suresh Kumar Sharma congratulated the winning teams and appreciated the efforts of the sports team for successfully organising the competitions. He also encouraged the students to continue participating actively in sports and bring laurels to the university.
