Breaking: Another Employees' leader shifted out of Punjab Secretariat

Chandigarh, September 7, 2026: The Punjab Government’s Department of General Administration has ordered the transfer and posting of four Senior Assistants working in the Punjab Civil Secretariat, citing administrative requirements.
According to an order issued on September 7, 2026, by General Administration Secretary Kamal Kishor Yadav, the transfers will take effect immediately.
Sumit Bansal has been transferred from the Judicial-2 Branch to the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Branch, replacing Davinder Singh. Singh has, in turn, been shifted from the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Branch to the Judicial-2 Branch.
In another transfer, Sanjeev Lata Singla has been moved from the Subordinate Services Selection Board to the Accounts-1 Branch, replacing Sushil Kumar. Kumar has been transferred from Accounts-1 Branch to the Subordinate Services Selection Board.
The order directs all four employees to submit their joining reports at their respective new places of posting to the Deputy Secretary (Accounts) and Under Secretary (Secretariat Administration).
The department has also issued strict instructions that employees must join their new postings immediately. Failure to do so will result in their salaries being withheld until further orders.
