NGO Lawyers for Human Rights International offers free legal aid to victims of Dera violence

Chandigarh, August 30, 2017: The NGO Lawyers for Human Rights International on Wednesday announced free legal aid for the victims of Dera violence.
The NGO Founder Gen. Secy. Navkiran Singh said at a news conference here that anybody who became victim of the violence unleashed by followers of the rape convict Sirsa Dera chief can approach them for seeking relief through legal process.
Besides long time Dera follower Gurdas Singh Toor, another former follower Hans Raj who was allegedly castrated among other male followers at the behest of convicted Dera chief was also present.
The case of Hans Raj is already being investigated by the CBI on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Its court hearing is almost in final stage.
Toor claimed that more disclosures could be made about what was happening inside the Dera if the government ordered its thourough search.
