Chandigarh, September 11, 2017: The Union Health Ministry will complete probe into dead bodies sent by Sirsa Dera to a private Lucknow medical college and present its report at the earliest.
Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Ashwini Kumar Choubey said this at Chandigarh Press Club here on Monday.
Choubey said the report would be made public soon after completion of the enquiry.
The probe was ordered recently after it was discovered that there was no police report or record of 14 dead bodies sent by Dera to the medical college.
The Minister said there was no question of visiting such places from where objectionable disclosures were being made. He was reacting to the query on Haryana ministers making statements about continuing their visits to Dera for votes in future.
He said the government was making all possible efforts to provide affordable medical treatment to people. As part of this, the government reduced cost of stents and knee transplant. The government would take action against those hospitals which were still not providing this facility to patients.
