Chandigarh University hosts ‘EdVision 2025’ conclave to explore AI’s role in future of learning

Chandigarh, December 16, 2025: Chandigarh University hosted the ‘EdVision, Annual Principals’ Conclave 2025: Reimagining Education Leadership in the Age of AI’, bringing together over 150 principals from leading private and government schools in Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. The event focused on AI’s transformative potential in education and preparing students for the future.
The Conclave was inaugurated by Chandigarh Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad as Chief Guest, alongside Guest of Honor Dr Radhika Singh, DPI (Colleges) Chandigarh, Nishant Johar, VP, Centre of Excellence, cloudEQ, Chandigarh University Vice-Chancellor Dr Raviraja N Seetharam, and Advisor to Chancellor Prof (Dr) RS Bawa. Over 150 school principals were felicitated for their contributions to educational excellence.
Speaking at the event, Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in realizing Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, stating that “Teachers shape the youth to become responsible citizens who contribute to nation-building, guided by ethics, values, and innovation.”
Education leaders highlighted that AI is revolutionizing teaching by personalizing learning, addressing individual student needs, and unlocking full potential. They stressed the ethical integration of AI from early schooling and its use in smart classrooms, AR/VR experiences, AI-enabled assessments, and data-driven decision-making.
Nishant Johar noted, “AI complements human intelligence and offers unprecedented opportunities in education, but rules must be set to ensure its optimal use by students.”
Chandigarh University Vice-Chancellor Dr Raviraja N Seetharam underlined the importance of AI integration in curriculum, pedagogy, and research, preparing students with global exposure, internships, and job placements. With over 1,200 recruiters including Microsoft, Amazon, Walt Disney, IBM, Flipkart, and SAP Labs, Chandigarh University has emerged as a top destination for industry-ready talent.
The Conclave also featured panel discussions, expert talks, and demonstrations of AI-driven educational tools, empowering principals to lead AI-enabled institutional change and foster innovation in classrooms.
The event reinforced Chandigarh University’s commitment to future-ready education and collaboration with schools to prepare students for the 21st century.
