Salzburg, Austria, August 29, 2026: A video circulating on social media has sparked concern after Sikh youngster Jaspreet Singh was allegedly denied entry to the Cool Mama Hotel in Salzburg, Austria, while wearing a turban.
According to the account shared on social media, Jaspreet Singh, a stock market trader from Mohali, and another Punjabi man were allegedly stopped from entering the hotel. The men have alleged that they were denied entry because they were wearing turbans.
Jaspreet reportedly said that the hotel cited its dress code while refusing them entry. However, social media users have claimed that no such restriction is mentioned on the hotel’s website.
The incident has triggered allegations of racism and religious discrimination, with members of the Sikh community expressing concern over the treatment of Sikh visitors in a European country.
