Breaking: Firing at Airport, two employees injured

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh, August 16, 2026: Two employees, including a woman working with a security agency, were injured after a passenger allegedly opened fire with a licensed pistol at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur, Varanasi, on Sunday.
According to initial information, the woman security agency employee sustained gunshot wounds to her right leg and lower back, resulting in deep injuries at multiple places. Another employee was shot in the right hand.
Following the incident, Police Commissioner Mohit Agarwal and other senior officials reached the airport. Police and security agencies have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the firing and the reason behind the passenger opening fire.
