Mayank Foundation reaffirms support for blind inmates
80th Independence Day celebrated at Home for the Blind
Ferozepur, August 15, 2026: The 80th Independence Day with inmates of the Home for the Blind, was celebrated in an atmosphere of patriotism and social commitment by Mayank Foundation – a leading NGO of the city.
The national flag was unfurled by Hony. Secretary Adv. Ashwani Sharma in the presence of Management members Harish Kumar, Ramesh Sethi ,CA Vijesh Bhola followed by the National Anthem. Members of the Foundation, prominent citizens, and the inmates participated in the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Kumar, General Secretary, Mayank Foundation said Independence Day is not only a celebration of freedom but also a reminder of collective responsibility towards those in need of care, support, and companionship. The Foundation assured the inmates of continued and all possible assistance in the future.
Reaffirming its mission, the Foundation emphasized its commitment to the welfare and empowerment of vulnerable sections of society, ensuring that no one is left behind or neglected.
The programme concluded on a patriotic note with a collective pledge to serve society with dedication, compassion, and responsibility.
