Fire breaks out in langar hall of Gurdwara Hansali Sahib

Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), August 10, 2026: A fire broke out in the langar hall of Gurdwara Hansali Sahib in Fatehgarh Sahib while langar was being prepared on Monday, triggering panic among sewadars and people present at the site.
According to preliminary information, the pipe connected to a gas cylinder caught fire during the preparation of langar. The flames subsequently spread to a nearby diesel furnace, raising fears that the fire could quickly escalate.
The fire brigade was immediately informed following the incident. A fire brigade team reached the spot and launched an operation to bring the flames under control.
Prompt action by the fire brigade and gurdwara employees helped contain the fire before it could spread to other parts of the premises, averting a major mishap. No major loss of life has been reported so far. The exact cause of the fire and the extent of damage are yet to be ascertained.
