IAF holds promotional run in Mohali ahead of Chandigarh Marathon

Mohali (Punjab), September 7, 2026: The Indian Air Force (IAF) organised its second Promotional Build-Up Run in Mohali on September 6, drawing enthusiastic participation from more than 300 runners.
The event served as a curtain-raiser for the Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon Chandigarh 2026, scheduled to be held on October 4, 2026. The marathon will honour the supreme sacrifice and enduring legacy of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon, Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest wartime gallantry award recipient.
The promotional run brought together local residents, fitness enthusiasts and youth from Mohali and the wider tri-city region, generating excitement ahead of the flagship marathon.
The IAF said registrations for the marathon are currently open for running enthusiasts.
